Smart Home Technology in Santa Barbara
Smart home technology for the Riviera, Hope Ranch, the Mesa, Mission Canyon and the rest of Santa Barbara.
Premium Home Automation Services in Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara's homes are some of the most architecturally careful in California: Spanish Colonial revival on the Riviera and the Upper East, estates in Hope Ranch, ocean-view homes on the Mesa, and canyon properties in Mission Canyon and San Roque. The technology has to respect that, which means planning it with the architect and keeping it out of sight.
Common architectural styles in Santa Barbara
Spanish Colonial revival · Mediterranean · Craftsman · Ocean-view contemporary
Design review shapes what can show on the outside of a Santa Barbara home, so we keep equipment, antennas and exterior gear discreet and plan it with the architect. Fire season is real in the canyons and foothills, so we design in monitored sensors, remote cameras, cellular backup and backup-power planning.

Why LA Techs in Santa Barbara?
We're a CEDIA member and authorized by Control4, Lutron, and Savant — and that matters. It means we've passed the training, we have direct manufacturer support, and we're accountable to a higher standard. We're not a generalist AV company doing smart home on the side. This is all we do, every day, throughout Santa Barbara and the rest of LA.
The full scope of what we cover: whole-home automation, home theater and distributed audio, cameras and security, networking and WiFi, lighting control, motorized shades, and climate automation. One team. One system. Everything works together — because we designed it that way from the start.
New build, gut renovation, or a targeted upgrade — we've done all three throughout Santa Barbaraand the greater LA area. We work directly with your architect, GC, and interior designer. The wiring gets planned before the walls close, not after. That's how you end up with a clean install instead of surface-mounted conduit and regret. Schedule a consultation and let's figure out what your project actually needs.
Frequently asked: smart homes in Santa Barbara
Do you work in Santa Barbara?
Yes. We serve Santa Barbara, including the Riviera, Hope Ranch, the Mesa, Samarkand, San Roque and Mission Canyon, plus Montecito and Carpinteria.
When should our architect or builder bring you in?
At schematic design or early design development, before framing. That's when equipment rooms, conduit and lighting layouts cost almost nothing to get right. We coordinate directly with the architect, GC and interior designer from there.
How do you handle design review?
We work with your architect so exterior equipment, antennas and fixtures are discreet and fit what the design review process expects.
Can we see these systems before we decide?
Yes. The Atrium, our showroom in Lomita, has Control4, Savant and Lutron running live. Visits are by appointment; call 213.354.8324.
