Smart Home Technology in Los Feliz
Los Feliz Hills mid-century restorations, Spanish revival estates, and creative-professional smart home upgrades — systems built with respect for the architecture.
Premium Home Automation Services in Los Feliz
Los Feliz is one of the most architecturally rich neighborhoods in our service area — Spanish revivals, Tudors, Craftsmans, and a healthy concentration of significant mid-century homes in the hills. The clients here tend to be design-conscious creative professionals who care deeply about their homes. The smart home work matches that — discreet, design-aware, and respectful of the architecture.
Common architectural styles in Los Feliz
Spanish revival · Tudor revival · Craftsman · Mid-century modern · Hillside contemporary
Los Feliz projects share most of their DNA with our Hancock Park, Hollywood Hills, and Pasadena work — older homes with strong character, design-conscious clients, and a preservation-first approach to retrofits. The geography in the Los Feliz Hills introduces hillside design considerations that don't apply to the flatter parts of the neighborhood, but the through-line is the same: the architecture leads, the technology follows.
Projects we typically do in Los Feliz
Los Feliz Hills mid-century restorations
The Los Feliz Hills above Franklin and around the Greek Theater are full of architecturally significant mid-century homes — many by major architects. We retrofit these with full smart-home functionality while preserving the original architecture: hidden equipment, wireless Lutron, architectural speakers, and concealed wiring.
Spanish revival and Tudor estates near Vermont
The blocks around Vermont, Hillhurst, and Franklin have substantial Spanish revival and Tudor estates — many getting careful renovations for current owners. We design Control4 or Savant systems that respect the architecture, with Lutron lighting, hidden audio, and equipment placed in basements or attics.
Creative-professional smart home upgrades
Los Feliz attracts a heavy concentration of writers, directors, designers, and creatives. The smart home work tends to lean design-conscious — clean Lutron lighting, quality audio for music-listening homes, and Control4 or Savant interfaces that match the rest of the home's aesthetic.

Why LA Techs in Los Feliz?
We're a CEDIA member and authorized by Control4, Lutron, and Savant — and that matters. It means we've passed the training, we have direct manufacturer support, and we're accountable to a higher standard. We're not a generalist AV company doing smart home on the side. This is all we do, every day, throughout Los Feliz and the rest of LA.
The full scope of what we cover: whole-home automation, home theater and distributed audio, cameras and security, networking and WiFi, lighting control, motorized shades, and climate automation. One team. One system. Everything works together — because we designed it that way from the start.
New build, gut renovation, or a targeted upgrade — we've done all three throughout Los Felizand the greater LA area. We work directly with your architect, GC, and interior designer. The wiring gets planned before the walls close, not after. That's how you end up with a clean install instead of surface-mounted conduit and regret. Schedule a consultation and let's figure out what your project actually needs.
"I have a 1929 Spanish revival up in the hills and I was terrified of touching the walls. LA Techs added full smart home — lighting, audio, theater — and you genuinely cannot see anything. The home feels exactly like itself."
— Phinneas Lockhart, Los Feliz Resident
