Premium Home Automation Services in Ojai
Ojai homes are spread out: ranches and estates in the East End and Upper Ojai, Spanish revival and Craftsman homes in the Arbolada and around town, and plenty of land between buildings. That spread, plus rural internet and power, shapes how technology should be designed here.
Common architectural styles in Ojai
Spanish revival · Craftsman · Ranch and estate · Modern farmhouse
Out here, the internet and power aren't always dependable. We design with that in mind: cellular backup for cameras and alarms, backup-power planning for the network and controls, and wireless links to outbuildings. Fire risk is real too, so monitoring and remote cameras are part of the plan.
Projects we typically do in Ojai
East End ranches and estates
Multiple buildings on big acreage. We link them with fiber or point-to-point wireless so cameras, WiFi and controls work everywhere.
Historic and Spanish revival homes
Careful retrofit wiring and equipment that disappears, so the house still looks like itself.
New builds and rebuilds
Planned with the architect before framing, including the resilience pieces that matter here.

Why LA Techs in Ojai?
We're a CEDIA member and authorized by Control4, Lutron, and Savant — and that matters. It means we've passed the training, we have direct manufacturer support, and we're accountable to a higher standard. We're not a generalist AV company doing smart home on the side. This is all we do, every day, throughout Ojai and the rest of LA.
The full scope of what we cover: whole-home automation, home theater and distributed audio, cameras and security, networking and WiFi, lighting control, motorized shades, and climate automation. One team. One system. Everything works together — because we designed it that way from the start.
New build, gut renovation, or a targeted upgrade — we've done all three throughout Ojaiand the greater LA area. We work directly with your architect, GC, and interior designer. The wiring gets planned before the walls close, not after. That's how you end up with a clean install instead of surface-mounted conduit and regret. Schedule a consultation and let's figure out what your project actually needs.
Frequently asked: smart homes in Ojai
Do you work in Ojai?
Yes. We serve Ojai, the East End, Upper Ojai, Meiners Oaks and the rest of the valley.
What if our internet goes down?
We add a cellular backup so cameras, alarms and remote access keep working when the local line drops, and plan backup power for the network and controls.
When should our architect or builder bring you in?
At schematic design or early design development, before framing. That's when equipment rooms, conduit and lighting layouts cost almost nothing to get right. We coordinate directly with the architect, GC and interior designer from there.
