Salamander Designs builds AV furniture — credenzas, media consoles, and equipment cabinets — in configurations and finishes that actually work in high-design interiors. Their Synergy system is modular and configurable, so we can size it to the equipment list and the room simultaneously, rather than forcing the equipment into a generic off-the-shelf piece.

The thermal management built into Salamander's vented furniture is legitimate. AV equipment runs hot, and most media consoles have zero consideration for airflow. Salamander designs ventilation into the piece — quiet fans, proper air paths — which extends equipment life and prevents the overheating failures that cheap furniture causes. It's the kind of detail that matters over a 10-year system life.
